Courtyard Boston Downtown/North Station
Project
Our comprehensive ground-up electrical scope at Courtyard Boston Downtown/North Station, located at Bulfinch Triangle in Boston’s North End, entails installation of the primary power and electrical distribution systems, and emergency power at the 14-story hotel. The project includes a new 5000 Amp electrical distribution system and tie-in to an Eversource transformer vault, as well as installation of the building’s collector bus and bus duct risers that feed units. The facility’s fire alarm system, smoke control system, bi-directional BDA, lighting, and general duty power are all integral aspects of the electrical scope.
Special Challenges
The project is being constructed directly over the existing I-93 tunnel structure that extends out to the Zakim Bridge, which limited the underground infrastructure and utilities.
